The Story Behind the Artisan

My journey with dolls began in my childhood, when my mother made me my very first handmade doll. That simple gift left a deep mark on me and sparked a lifelong passion for creating dolls by hand.

In 2016, I was honored to win the Best Business Project Award, presented to me by Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Since then, I have never stopped developing my skills. I created the first Emirati paper doll, which I envision evolving into a series of interactive stories in a book. I am also learning new techniques, such as crafting international clay dolls, to expand my creative journey even further.

I’m Noura Bin Hadda, an Emirati artisan who believes that beauty lies in uniqueness and that repetition kills passion. I love change and constantly seek out unconventional ideas that leave an impact and spark wonder. In every creation I present, I focus on using simple materials to craft something unexpected—something with a fresh twist every time.

Routine doesn’t suit me, and I don’t like repeating myself. That’s why every workshop I offer comes with a new touch, an innovative idea, and a different experience. This is my signature, and it’s the passion that keeps me moving forward.

My passion goes beyond my own journey—I dream of inspiring future generations to embrace handmade art and traditional crafts. I truly believe that nothing compares to the authenticity, soul, and self-expression that come from creating something with your own hands.
